Treating Metal Contaminated Wastewater Streams with HySEP®

November 26, 2024

Removing heavy metals from wastewater streams is critical to protecting environmental and human health. Typical metals include Lead, Arsenic, Copper, Chromium, Cadmium, Nickel and Mercury. These metals are found in wastewater as a consequence of the production and manufacturing process for a wide range of goods and materials.

Hydroflux has completed numerous metal removal plants for Industrial Manufacturers using physical chemical treatment with polishing stages as well as the associated solids handling plant.

Typical Process

  • Physical chemical treatment process, design to target the metal(s) and solids removal
  • HySEP® Plate Separators provide high efficiency removal in a low footprint
  • CakeMax® Recessed Chamber Filter Presses for solids handling
  • HydraBlend® Chemical Storage and Dosing Systems
  • HyConnect® Remote Monitoring

Design Configurations

  • 1 through to 60 kL/h of treatment capacity
  • HySEP® is available in cross and up flow profiles
  • Chemical precipitation and oxidation process
  • Ion exchange for process water streams
  • Modular skid mounted systems
