Poultry Manufacturer uses Hydroflux Dissolved Air Flotation System for Tertiary Treatment

November 7, 2023

Hydroflux recently completed the upgrade of the wastewater treatment plant at Brinks in Karaka. The Hydroflux HYDAF
HD-75 is being used to treat water after a secondary aerobic biological treatment process to ensure that the turbidity and phosphorus levels are compliant with their discharge consent.

The HD-75 is one of a comprehensive range of high-performance DAF systems supplied by Hydroflux that are fabricated in New Zealand for the local market. Over 150 units have been installed throughout the Asia Pacific region and the HyDAF range is available to treat wastewater flows ranging from 50 kL/day to over 6 ML/day as standalone prefabricated units.

The HYDAF dissolved air flotation system is also available as a HD-V version which uses a screw conveyor to removed settled solids. The HD-V is an ideal solution for some primary industry applications where high concentrations of settleable solids are present in the wastewater.
